The Pavilion

The Pavilion is a unique option in that it opens out into a large private area capable of accommodating large groups of campers. Make the Pavilion your "home base", for large camping groups, schools clubs, or extended family campouts. The kitchen has a fridge, stove/oven kettle, toaster and microwave plus a byfold window that opens out to the private campfire.​ The Pavilion is capable of sleeping up to 8 people and has a full kitchen. It shares bathroom facilities with the Mangaweka Camping Ground.

A studio cabin with a great view of the river. Ideal for singles or doubles but has a fold out hide away bed to squeeze in a small kid or two! Shares bathroom facilities with the Mangaweka Campground. Has camp kitchen facility, including a kettle, toaster and small fridge. The Gas cooker supplied is to be used at the outside covered veranda.

Open Hours

As of 3rd June the Café is CLOSED for winter repairs, maintenance and a wee break. It will re-open the first weekend of August.

Awastone remains OPEN for camping, hot tub bookings, private events and special bookings. Keep an eye out for quiz nights and special events too!
The Reception for both Awastone & The Mangaweka Campground is located at Awastones Main Office.
