Awastone and Mangaweka Campgrounds
Awastone provides two beautiful options of camping either with or without power, basic or with a bit more pizzazz. The main office for both camp options is located at Awastone.

Both are situated on the side of the Rangitikei River
with a relaxed environment, offer powered or non

Awastone Riverside Haven
Quiet and secluded, this small campground has all the facilities to make your stay a joy. Wifi, well appointed bathrooms, kitchen, laundry and beautiful riverfront powered sites. During the summer our on site licensed café serves drinks and meals and is the base for our many river activities

Mangaweka Campground
Mangaweka Campground provides budget camping options in a open plan riverside setting. The campground is set out over three levels, the top level has powered sites available and the second and third level are non powered only.
There are no lines, no numbers allocating campsites. The nature of these camping grounds means that you are not able to book a site, first in first served! There is almost always space for non powered camping, however, on occasion powered sites can be taken up. If you need power, you are best to book a site at Awastone to ensure you have the power you require.
Basic ablutions are available, flush toilets and pay showers. The "Cookhouse" is a small shelter that has a bench and sink for your use, no stoves, ovens or fridges. Water is town supply drinking water.

For the Winter season 2022, June 7th to August 25th
