Half Day River Journey

Explore the Utiku Sandstone Gorges local to Mangaweka.Numerous Grade 2 rapids break up this tranquil journey through the last of the great Rangitikei Gorges.We meet you at the Mangaweka International Airport under the DC3 aeroplane on State Highway One.
Here your guides give you all of your gear for safety and comfort on the river before we take the drive up SH1 to the put in point. This trip takes us through deep Sandstone Gorges, drifting quietly past walls laden with concretions and under the famous Mangaweka Viaducts. Trip includes a pre or post trip snack and coffee at the Mangaweka International Airport Hub Cafe.
