Riverside tranquility just 1 km off State Highway One, this beautiful riverside camping ground and motorcamp is truly unique.

Mangaweka Camping Grounds is based in Mangaweka, New Zealand and is quickly accessible, just 1km off State Hwy 1. It is set along the Rangitikei River and has easy options for camping with or without power. Privately operated, we strive to ensure the perfect balance between providing adequate facilities without harming its unique wilderness character.

CAMP CABIN
On the grounds is a cabin and private events area. The "Pavilion" so named from its days as the centre of sporting activity in Mangaweka, is ideal for schools, family reunions, club gatherings or even for just 2 people wanting a camp experience but do not want to set up the tent.The area provides private camping, a full kitchen, a massive event field with wood fire BBQ area & fire pit.You can book the cabin by emailing us directly.

SHOWERS & COOKHOUSE
Bring $2 coins for the showers as they are coin operated. The cookhouse is for everyone to use. It has power outlets, stove fridge and sinks.

PET FRIENDLY
It is dog friendly, as long as your dog is friendly. We reserve the right to refuse campers if their pet proves annoying to other campers or dangerous. Please respect other campers when traveling with your pet.

Due to the open, free nature (our policy is ‘no line-no numbers!) of the grounds layout it is difficult for us confirm a booking for your site, however the expansive setting means that it will never be full with the exception of powered sites.
