GENERAL INFORMATION
Entries close, Friday January 6th (Lates accepted on the day up to
8.30am, at $10 extra cost)The Rangitikei River Race is ideal preparation
for the Coast to Coast, Goldrush etcThe Rangitikei River is a scenic
river graded 1-2Approved Buoyancy Aid(6.2kg) and Helmets MUST be
wornCompetitors must be competent Grade II Certificate
paddlersAccommodation - Camping grounds are available at Mangaweka, and
Vinegar Hill (finish)
SHUTTLE SERVICE (Before the Race)
A shuttle bus will run from Vinegar Hill at 9am back to the start. Drop
your kayak off at the start (Utiku) and drive your car to the finish
(Vinegar Hill), the bus will return you to the start. Cost $20 (pay bus
driver). Please contact 'Mangaweka Adventure Company' to book this

hour for this.
REGISTRATION
From 8.00am, Utiku Gravel Pit, Toe Toe Road, off State Highway One. Race briefing 9.30am
Entry Fee $30 Cheques payable to: 'Rangitikei River Kayak Race'
RACE START
First class leaves 10am (Recreational, DRR, Sprinters, Innovative etc)
PRIZE GIVING & BBQ
Vinegar Hill Domain, when all craft have completed (approx 3pm)
