Intro to Whitewater Kayaking
A day long course
that starts at the very beginning. We introduce you to your
kayaking equipment, show you how to get in and how to make
it move… forwards and backwards! We will introduce you
to the delights of falling out of your kayak and ensure that
you are comfortable with the exercise. Learn about the rails
on a kayak and understand how they are used. We will teach
you how to turn your kayak and eventually give you a run through
a grade 2 rapid… or two. We run through all aspects of
the Grade 2 Certificate. A lot of this instruction is incorporated
into a river trip.
