 An unforgettable journey into the heart of the Mokai Gorge, home of Lord of the Rings locations and spectacular canyons unique to the Rangitikei River. A gentle rafting trip that is suited for those looking for a scenic drift and opportunities to explore scenic river canyons. A full days adventure that starts at the Mangaweka International Airport café where your guides meet you and discuss the trip ahead over a delicious cup of coffee. We give you your gear to provide safety and comfort on the river before departing on our 40 minute scenic drive up river. Along the way we will stop at Mokai Gravity Canyon, providing an opportunity to see the gorge from upon high before taking the 4WD down into the river.

We stop part way down for a riverside lunch and an opportunity to explore "Jurassic Park", a spectacular little canyon and waterfall hidden from the world.

After lunch we drift passed the Gravity Canyon site before heading around the corner and into the deepest reaches of the canyons.

The 4WD awaits to take us out of the canyon and back to the café for afternoon tea.
